Best. Patrol. Outing. Ever! Who knew how screwed up they could get? We finally learnt yesterday. Had to waste away 5 hours of unwanted time. 1 game of bowling, 1 hour gone. Walking up to a huge amount of water and, shouting or whispering, depending on the crowd, our "wishes" while throwing rocks into the river. About 45 mins? Or more? Ah well, more time gone. Playing with the display showing Singaporeans wishes outside the "Big Durian", another 15 to 30 mins gone. Going to the library looking for music scores and guitar tabs among other things (don't worry we didn't make noise), yet another period of time gone. I lost track. Too busy finding books under the "Y" section. Bloody library didn't have what I was looking for. Having a drink at the nearby kopitiam while one of us has a dessert or something. Whatever category a bowl of corn in some kind of liquid falls into, he had it. And again, more time spent. Returning to the shopping centre and walking around into random shops, playing with little kiddy toys and sitting down on a nice couch waiting again. Even more time gone. Finally entering the cinema to watch the hilarious action-comedy Rush Hour 3. 6 words. So damned totally worth the wasted time. Again! And! Happy Birthday Singapore! A well-deserved celebration next to the 'preserver of life', A.K.A a large mass of water. After 42 years, we're here, and we're gonna rock the world, as if we haven't already done that. We should. Again. Kai posted at 3.34 p.m, 9-8-07 |
